There are two options for booking a sitter:
Membership Option: Become a member of Port City Sitters for a monthly subscription of $25. This gives you unlimited sitter appointments each month.
Non-Membership Option: Pay a one-time fee of $35 per sitter appointment without a subscription.
Please note, both options also include the hourly sitter rate in addition to the listed fees.
Once you submit a sitter request, we will match your family with the perfect sitter for your needs! You will receive email confirmation that a match has been made. You will be contacted via text 24-48 hours before the appointment time by your sitter.
Yes! If you have a sitter in mind, feel free to request them when submitting your appointment. If your preferred sitter is unavailable, don’t worry! We’ll make sure to match you with another caring and qualified sitter who will be a great fit for your family.
Your sitter will reach out to you via text 24-48 hours before your scheduled sit to confirm details about the sitter appointment. We know how important it is to feel comfortable with your sitter, but to respect their time and the many families they serve, we don’t offer pre-sit meetings. If you’d like to take a little extra time to introduce yourself and your children to the sitter, we recommend adding an extra 15 minutes to your scheduled time. This gives you the opportunity to go over any expectations and ensure everyone is on the same page.
We understand that sick kiddos are inevitable, however, we want to make sure both your family and our sitters stay healthy. If your child is sick on the day of a scheduled sit, we kindly ask for at least 4 hours’ notice to cancel.
This policy helps us respect our sitters’ time and keep things running smoothly for everyone. Thanks for your understanding!
If you happen to return home before the scheduled appointment time, please note that the full appointment fee will still apply.
Absolutely! If you need to adjust the time of your appointment, just give us a call at Port City Sitters at (910) 553-9487, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that changes are not always guaranteed, and any adjustments made within 4 hours of the appointment may incur an additional change fee.
